Technical SEO

The technical structure of a site that affects crawling, indexing and how it appears in search results, separate from writing content and building links.

Project requirement

Make several static domains crawlable and indexable, with a weighted to-do list instead of a flat checklist.

Technical question

Which technical points still matter, and which of them can the build generate instead of a person?

Validation

The build generates the sitemap, robots.txt, canonical links, JSON-LD, llms.txt and https redirects; a link checker checks the built output (internal, cross-site and external links).

Decision

Generate everything that can be derived from the pages and the site configuration; keep titles, descriptions and alt texts as page-level content.

Each domain counts as a separate site; duplicated content across domains needs a canonical link or different content.

Old URLs get a 301 redirect, which keeps their link value and avoids 404 pages.

llms.txt is cheap to generate but is not treated as an SEO tool (state as of 2026-10).

On this bilingual portfolio, every page has hreflang pairs, Person JSON-LD, a sitemap entry and an Open Graph image; detail pages also carry a BreadcrumbList.
